LEDs are the first light source in history that do not require heat to generate light. This significant factor attributes to LEDs status as the most efficient light source known to mankind, next to the sun. LEDs are solid state light engines, requiring no filaments or glass, which makes them extremely rugged and shock resistant. The EPA encourages the use of LED lighting.

Consider the features that make LEDs a new standard light source:

long life: LEDs last up to 100,000 hours, at least 10x as long as most forms of conventional illumination.
energy efficiency: LEDs are 80% more energy efficient than standard lighting with over 90% of electrical energy converted to light, and no heat projected.
safety: LEDs use low voltage DC current, making them safer to work with.
color: LEDs can illuminate in any color of the visual spectrum, and do not require gels to do so. They are fully programmable, and able to emit 16,000,000 colors in any pattern imaginable. The LED white lights work easier on your eyes and are closer to the color of daylight.
UV free: no UV emissions to jeopardize fabrics, paper or paintings.
durability: LEDs are extremely rugged and shock resistant, unlike filament bulbs.LEDs can operate in harsh environments and withstand temperatures ranging from -40 c to +85 c.
environmentally safe: LEDs are environmentally friendly, and unlike Metal Halide, HPS/LPS, and Fluorescent bulbs, do not require mercury or toxic and flammable gases to operate.
thermal efficiency: LEDs produce very little heat, allowing them greater versatility in applications for which conventional lighting simply will not work.
versitility: The LED Light bulb can be used indoors or outdoors such as LED landscape lighting, LED driveway lighting, LED sidewalk lighting and LED garden lighting and LED grow lighting to bring the outdoors indoors. LED lighting does not attract insects to the lights.
